Infrastructure / Transportation Growth is inevitable and sometimes desirable. However, some proposed projects could harm the integrity of our unique community and threaten our struggling infrastructure. Billy will vote against developments that threaten our safety, our quality of life, and our small-town atmosphere. He will fight against developers trying to transform Titusville into something it is not. He will work to preserve Titusville’s uniqueness, and not allow us to become like South Florida, South Brevard, or Orlando. If developers want to build in Titusville, they must make investments to improve Titusville. Existing citizens will not carry the burden of new development. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Billy will champion and support all efforts to keep our community safe. He stands behind our police as they combat crime and shield our children and families from drugs and criminal activity. He supports our first responders who bravely fight fires, respond to emergencies, and risk their lives to ensure our safety and health. Billy believes our police and first responders deserve leaders who stand up for competitive pay, a great work environment, and the best tools and equipment for efficient and safe work. Economy Small businesses bring diverse new jobs to our area. They also help fulfill the needs of local workers and their families, making it a more attractive place to live. Citizens of Titusville want more restaurants, shopping and services, but small business owners are frustrated with the lack of support they receive from City staff when opening or expanding their business. Our city must get better at fostering and supporting small businesses. Billy also plans to help revitalize vacant and blighted buildings so that they can become viable storefronts for new local business. Redevelopment is one way that we can advocate for smart economic development and protect our environment— without pushing toward overgrowth.
