Criminal Justice / Public Safety I will support crime reduction efforts and the work of our public safety officials in keeping our neighborhoods safe. I will work proactively with our police, sheriffs, and first responders to ensure robust emergency and disaster response. Economy I will support minimizing food miles and promoting the purchase of local foods and products to assist our local growers and farmers. Taxes / Budget I will champion sound, balanced, and accountable financial investments throughout Yolo County. Our residents deserve protection from the costs of fiscal mismanagement, and we must safeguard the interests of our rural communities and all taxpayers by delivering efficient and robust services. Education I will champion education and workforce training opportunities, including collaborative methods to improve our literacy rates, to help provide for successful future career opportunities for young men and women. Economy I will promote opportunities that empower aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthen our agricultural sector. Infrastructure / Transportation I am committed to supporting farmers and ensuring their voices are at the center of policy discussions affecting their daily work. This includes future flood protection proposals that affect our farmers and ranchers in the rural areas. Economy I will champion initiatives that empower our farmers to combat drought through cutting-edge agricultural research and strategic investments in technology. Environment / Energy I will prioritize and protect our prime agricultural lands and guard our County against sprawl. Housing I will support the development of mixed-use housing for families of all sizes and the implementation of practical solutions to homelessness. Environment / Energy I am committed to protecting our environment and meeting our goal to reduce emissions and achieve a carbon-negative footprint by 2030. Housing I will champion the effective implementation of state-allocated funding for mental health and housing services targeted at homeless individuals with severe mental illness (Proposition 36). Housing I am resolute in my commitment to support infill housing that prevents urban sprawl and preserves our community’s unique character.
