Defense / Veterans I intend to start a voucher card program where veterans will receive a card that they can swipe at gas stations, grocery stores, and convenience stores to get a 20% discount on gas and groceries, including medical and hygiene related supplies. Housing I intend to use my position as mayor to increase funding for food banks and charities that give clothing and other resources to the poor as long as they are located in or operate in Central Point. Environment / Energy I plan to start a trash cleanup program where volunteers will go out once every other week for a few hours to pick up trash and receive a free sack lunch and a five-dollar gift card. I would also like to add more trash receptacles on East Pine Street and the side streets. Environment / Energy I plan to get recycling receptacles installed on the streets downtown to reduce waste and use my position as mayor to insure that Rogue Disposal recycles all recyclable materials.
