Eligibility Requirements
Must be a qualified elector of the county. Must not have been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment in the state or federal penitentiary. A member of the racing commission shall not be an officer, director, or employee of any licensee or have any financial interest in any race track or race meeting licensed by the racing commission and shall not own or race greyhound dogs in any race meeting licensed by the racing commission.
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee (Major party candidates only): 2% of the annual salary for the office. Petition Signature Requirements (independent and minor party candidates only): 3% of the number of votes cast in the district for the office of governor in the last general election.
