The council in Arizona cities and towns is the local policy making and law-making body possessing broad authority and the legal power to govern the affairs of the community. The job of the council essentially is to use these powers granted by state law and local ordinances for the good of the community and its residents.
A candidate must be a resident and qualified voter within the town for which he/she seeks election. They must have no delinquent or fixed fines and penalties, user fees, permit fees, and sales tax be owed to the Town of Quartzsite at the time of declaration of candidacy.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee; signature requirement of at least 5% and not more than 10% of the voters in the city.
