The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the municipality. They often preside over council meetings and may have the power to hire and fire heads of municipal departments.
A candidate who is qualified to register to vote pursuant to and who is properly registered to vote shall, if they are at least eighteen years of age on or before the date of the election, be deemed a qualified elector and who has subsequently registered in Litchfield Park, and is otherwise qualified. In addition, a qualified elector shall also be a resident of the City for at least one year prior to any Primary, General or Special City Election.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee; signature requirement of at least 5% and not more than 10% of the voters in the city.
