Eligibility Requirements
A candidate for local office must be a qualified elector at the time of filing their nomination paper. Any such candidate, in addition to the other requirements, must be 18 years of age or over in general law cities and towns. A candidate must be able to speak, write and read the English language.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee; signature requirement of at least 5% and not more than 10% of the voters in the city.
