The council in Arizona cities and towns is the local policy making and law-making body possessing broad authority and the legal power to govern the affairs of the community. The job of the council essentially is to use these powers granted by state law and local ordinances for the good of the community and its residents.
A candidate must be 18 years of age, lived in the City of Tolleson for one year prior to the election, and be a qualified elector in the State of Arizona.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee; signature requirement of at least 5% and not more than 10% of the voters in the city.
