Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be at least 30 years of age, of good moral character with no felony convictions, and, in addition to the requirements of the Yuma City Charter, Article VI, Section 13, be a resident of the city for at least five (5) years preceding the day of election or appointment.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Petition signature requirements: At least 1% but not more than 10% of the total number of qualified signers in the county or district, except that if for a candidate from a county with a population of two hundred thousand persons or more, at least one-fourth of 1% but not more than ten percent of the total number of qualified signers in the county or district.
