Each candidate for an elective office of the City and County shall be a resident of the City and County and an elector at the time that nomination papers are issued to the candidate, and each elected officer shall continue to be an elector during the term of the office.

Filing Fee: $2,000 or two percent of the current annual salary for the office to which the candidate seeks election, whichever is greater. Signature Requirement: Not less than 20 nor more than 30 voters in a city of 1,000 registered voters or more, and not less than five nor more than 10 voters in a city of less than 1,000 registered voters, but only one candidate may be named in any one nomination paper.
