Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be a qualified elector and resident of the town who has resided in the town for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the election, and is otherwise eligible to hold municipal office pursuant to law. If the mayor should move from or become, during the term of their office, a nonresident of the town, they shall be deemed to have vacated office, upon the adoption by the board of trustees of a resolution declaring such vacancy to exist.
