The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the municipality. They often preside over council meetings and may have the power to hire and fire heads of municipal departments.
Candidate must be at least 21 years of age. You must have been a resident of the City of Glendale and a registered elector of the City for one year immediately preceding the filing of a nomination petition for such office or at the time of appointment to the office. You must not have been convicted of a felony or received a dishonorable discharge from the military service of the United States.
