About this position
The City Board of Selectmen is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of city departments and committees. Additional City Board of Selectmen duties include oversight of recruitment, nomination, and appointment of boards, committees, and commissions; preparation, monitoring, and execution of the city budget; and serving as main advisor on overall governmental operations.

Eligibility Requirements
U.S. Citizen, 18 yrs of age and a bona-fide city resident.
Filing Requirements
Candidates can seek to appear on ballot via nomination (15 percent of votes cast), and then file Certificate of Party Endorsement. To appear via petition, gather signatures equal to 2 percent of major party members, 1 percent of minor party members, or 1 percent of votes cast for office for independent candidates.
