Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have filed a nominating petition in accordance with § 5.4 of the city Charter, and shall qualified to vote at the annual City election. Conviction of Felony or Crime of Moral Turpitude. No person having been convicted of a felony or crime of moral turpitude shall be qualified to be a candidate for office on the City Council or for the office of Mayor. For this reason, complete criminal history shall be researched by proper authorities.
