Eligibility Requirements
The members of the city council shall be residents of the City of Cape Canaveral and shall have and possess the qualifications of registered voters of the City of Cape Canaveral. Any member of the city council who shall cease to have and possess the qualifications imposed on such office shall forfeit his or her office and said office shall immediately become vacant.
Filing Requirements
$15 filing fee.
Paperwork Instructions
Submit oath of office, notification of candidacy, any proof of residency requirements, financial disclosures and interest forms, campaign finance forms, and fee to municipal clerk. (Candidate oath must be submitted within ten days of filing campaign finance forms.)
