Eligibility Requirements
A resident of the City of Leesburg for a minimum of six months prior to qualifying for election to the City Commission, and in the case of Districts 1, 2 and 3, must have resided in the districts from which they would be elected for at least six months prior to qualifying for election
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee:6.5% of the annual compensation provided by the city to its commissioners (includes state election assessment of 1.5%). Petition signature requirement: 1% of the total number of registered voters in the city and/or district (if qualifying via petition method in lieu of paying filing fee)
