Eligibility Requirements
Each candidate for Village Council shall be a qualified elector of the Village and must reside in the Village for at least 1 year before the beginning of the qualifying period for the office sought. Each Council member must reside in the district the member represents for the duration of his or her term.
Filing Requirements
$677.88 filing fee.
Paperwork Instructions
Submit oath of office, notification of candidacy, any proof of residency requirements, financial disclosures and interest forms, campaign finance forms, signature petitions, and fee/election assessment to municipal clerk. (Candidate oath must be submitted within ten days of filing campaign finance forms.)
