Eligibility Requirements
Only qualified electors who have dwelled in the city and the district they seek to represent for at least six continuous months may run
Filing Requirements
Candidates must fill DS-DE 9, DS-DE 25, DS-DE 84 and CE 1 forms and an assessment fee of $169.47. Candidates must then either pay a further fee of $508.41 or they may seek nomination by petition in lieu of the filing fee: they will need to secure the signature of 1% of the registered voters in their district and complete form DS-DE 104 as well as pay a verification fee of 10 cents per signature.
Paperwork Instructions
Completed statements and fees should be filed with the city clerk's office during the qualification period. Petitions must be submitted before December 11
