Registered elector and resident of the judicial circuit upon taking office, Florida Bar member for the preceding five years, and must devote full time to the duties of the office and must not engage in private practice.

- Filing fee is for partisan candidates: 6% of the annual salary for the position; Independent candidates 4% of the annual salary for the position) or; signature requirement of 1% of registered voters in the district
