Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 25 years of age, a registered voter in the county, a holder of a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, and a resident of the county for at least two years immediately preceding the date of qualifying for election.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: $1690.57 (3 percent of the minimum annual salary value for the office). Petition signature requirement: For independent and minor party candidates only: 5 percent of the total number of registered voters eligible to vote in the last election for the office.
