Meet eligibility requirements
No person shall be eligible to serve as mayor or councilman unless he shall have been a resident of the city for a period of 2 years immediately prior to the date of the election of mayor or members of the council and shall continue to reside therein during his period of service shall be registered and qualified to vote in municipal election of the city.
