Eligibility Requirements

Must be at least 25 years of age, admitted and licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia for at least three years, and a permanent resident within the judicial circuit in which the candidate shall serve.

Filing Requirements

Filing fee: $4752.36 (3 percent of the annual salary for the office). Petition signature requirement: For independent and minor party candidates only: 5 percent of the total number of registered voters eligible to vote in the last election for the office.
