Meet eligibility requirements
Must have been a resident of the City of Ellijay for a period of 1 year immediately prior to the date of the election; continues to reside within the City of Ellijay during his period of service; is registered and qualified to vote in municipal elections of the City of Ellijay; and meets the qualification standards required for members of the Georgia House of Representatives as are now or may in the future be prescribed by the Georgia Constitution.

- Filing Fee: 3% of gross salary from the prior year; petition signature requirement of 1 percent of the total number of registered voters eligible to vote in the last election for the specific office if unable to pay filing fee.
