These District or Circuit Inferior Court Judges are responsible for adjudicating cases in Civil and Criminal Courts at the trial-level, usually for minor offenses such as misdemeanor cases or civil matters below a certain dollar amount.
Candidate must be at least 25 years old, a citizen of the state for at least 3 years, a resident of the area they are elected to, admitted to practice law for at least 5 years, and in good standing with the Georgia State bar.
Filing Requirements
Candidates must file a Notice of Candidacy, pay a filing fee of 3% of position salary; there is no signature requirement.
