Eligibility Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen, an Iowa resident, and at least 18 years of age. Must not be a convicted felon (unless voting rights have been restored by the president or governor), be currently judged incompetent to vote by a court, or claim the right to vote in any other place.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Petition signature requirement of 10 signatures, or 2% of the people who voted for the office at the last regular city election, whichever is greater
