The City Clerk/Ward Officer serves as the official keeper of the municipal records. This joint position is also responsible for presenting the agenda and minutes for legislative and committee meetings.
Qualified elector/registered voter. A person is not eligible to take the oath of office for a muncicpal office if that person is, at the time required for taking the oath of office, in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the municipality or has been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury or other felony. One-year residency in the municipality preceding the Consolidated Election.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Petition signature requirement: between 5% and 8% (or 50 more than the minimum, whichever is greater) of the number of persons who voted at the last regular election in the district.
