Water District Board in Lake County, Illinois

Candidate must be a qualified elector/registered voter. Must be a resident of the district. No trustee or employee of such district shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract, work, or business of the district or the sale of any article, the expense, price, or consideration of which is paid by such district, nor in the purchase of any real estate or property for or belonging to the district.

No Filing Fee; Signature Requirement: Established party candidates: At least .5% (.005) of the qualified primary electors of his/her party in the district, but not less than 25. Independent Candidates: Not less than 5% nor more than 8% (or 50 more than the minimum, whichever is greater) of the number of persons who voted at the last regular election in the district.
