The Library District Board oversees library operations within the district. Responsibilities of the Board include setting policy and approving the annual budget.
Qualified elector/registered voter. A person is not eligible to take the oath of office for a municipal office if that person is, at the time required for taking the oath of office, in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the library district or has been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony. Candidate must reside in the library district at least 1 year prior to submitting nominating papers.
Filing Requirements
No Filing fee. Signature requirements: At least 2% of the votes cast in the preceding election in the library district or 50, whichever is less.
