The Public Works Commissioner is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of town highways and bridges, and the removal of obstructions caused by brush and snow. The Commissioner generally has the power to hire, subject to appropriations established by the town board, and direct highway department employees for those purposes.

No Filing fee. Signature requirements: For the Consolidated Election, not less than 5% of the total number of persons who voted in the last regular election in the district or political subdivision in which such district or political subdivision voted as a unit for the election of officers to serve its respective territorial area
