The City Clerk/Ward Officer serves as the official keeper of the municipal records. This joint position is also responsible for presenting the agenda and minutes for legislative and committee meetings.
Registered to vote in the city of the office sought at time of filing. A candidate for the office of city clerk of a Second Class City or city clerk‐treasurer of a Third Class City must have resided in the city for at least one (1) year before the date of the general election. Cannot be convicted and sentenced of, nor have plead guilty or nolo contendere to any felony charges (unless it has been pardoned, reversed, vacated, set aside, the guilty plea unaccepted by jury, or expunged under state law). Cannot be an active-service member of the US armed forces.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Signature Requirement is 2% of the total votes cast for secretary of state in the 2018 general election in the election district the candidate seeks to represent (for independent and minor party candidates only).

Submit paperwork to the County Board of Election's office
