The County Sheriff is the chief law enforcement official of the county and is responsible for ensuring that all local, state, and federal laws are followed.
Candidate must have resided in the county for at least one year before the election. Must be a registered voter. Must not have been convicted of a felony.
Filing Requirements
No filing Fee. No petition signature requirement. However, candidate must file a declaration of candidacy and statement of economic interest (CAN-12) with the county election board.
