The Lieutenant Governor is the second-highest ranking official of the state executive office. The Lieutenant Governor is the first successor to the Governor and the presiding officer of the State Senate, only voting to break a tie.
Must be an elector and resident on election date and when taking office, must be at least twenty-five years old
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee is 1% of salary; signature requirement for Major Party candidates: 1% of the total of the current voter registration of the party in the district. Minor Party candidates: 5000
