Shall be over 21 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the district for at least 1 year next preceding the election and during the term of office.
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee: $50. Petition signature requirements: For Non-Major Party & Independent Candidates Only: Candidate must gather signatures from the lesser of 10,000 registered voters or 1% of the total number of registered voters who are eligible to vote for the office for which the nomination by petition is sought, except that the petitions shall be signed by at least 250 registered voters who are eligible to vote for the office..
