Eligibility Requirements
The Mayor of the town must be not less than twenty–five (25) years of age on or before the date of his or her election, a citizen of the United States, a resident of the Town of Cheverly and registered to vote in the Town of Cheverly elections, and shall have been a resident within the limits of the town for not less than six (6) months immediately preceding the date of his or her election. The Mayor may not hold any non–elected position of employment with the Town of Cheverly.
