Eligibility Requirements

Must be eligible to vote in Minnesota // Must be at least 21 years of age upon assuming office // Must have maintained residence in the district for at least 30 days before the general election // Must not have filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general

Filing Requirements

Filing fee of $250. Petition signatures in lieu of filing fee is 5% percent of the total number of votes cast in the municipality, ward, or other election district at the preceding general election at which that office was on the ballot, but not more than 500 signatures
