About this position
The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement protection and service throughout the county, operates and maintains a detention facility (Jail), acts as officers of the court to provide courthouse security and prisoner conveyance, directs emergency management, conducts search and rescue operations, and oversees recreational education and enforcement.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be an eligible voter in Minnesota, 21 upon assuming office, resident in the district for 30 days before general, cannot have filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election, must be licensed as a peace officer in Minnesota.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $50; or signature requirement of 500 instead of the filing fee.
