The County Legislative Chair oversees the sessions of the county legislature. This position is separate from the County Executive Head.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be U.S. citizen and resident of the state for at least 1 year next preceding election. Candidate must be 18 years of age, registered voter, and resident of county. Candidate must not be delinquent in payment of any taxes. Candidate must not have pled guilty or been found guilty of a federal felony or misdemeanor or a state felony.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: $50. Petition signature requirement: 2% of the total number of voters who voted at the last election for candidates for the office being sought or equal to 10,000 voters, whichever is less. .
