About this position
The County Controller or Comptroller is the Chief Financial Officer of the County responsible for supervising the fiscal affairs of the County. They maintain the general ledger, accounting records, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll and garnishments.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen (for at least 5 years), at least 30 years of age, and a registered voter. Candidate must be a resident of city for at least 5 years next preceding election. Candidate must have been an assessed taxpayer of city for 2 years next preceding election. Candidate must not have been convicted of malfeasance in office, bribery or other corrupt practice or crime.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: 1% of salary paid to the Treasurer of the City Central Committee of the political party upon whose ticket the candidate seeks nomination. Petition signature requirement: 2% of votes cast in most recent Mayoral general election.
