Eligibility Requirements
Any candidate for any municipal, county, or county district office shall be a resident of the municipality, county, county district, or other territory that they seek to represent in such office for two years immediately preceding the day of election.
Filing Requirements
Independent candidates: petition signature requirement of 50 for municipalities and/or wards with a population of at least 1,000; 15 for municipalities and/or wards with a population of less than 1,000. Party candidates: qualifying fee in the amount of $10.
