Eligibility Requirements
Must be a qualified elector of the State of Mississippi in the municipality in question, must never have been convicted of bribery, perjury or other infamous crime, and must never have been convicted of a felony in federal court nor of a crime in the court of another state which is a felony in this state
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $10 (major party), $0 (minor party and independent candidates); petition signature requirement is 15 (independent candidates only).
