Eligibility Requirements
Must be registered voters of the city, and the city council members shall be residents of the ward from which elected, if elected by ward, and residents of the city, if elected at large.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is 1% of the office's annual salary, no filing fee for a salary of less than $500 per year. If filing by petiton, then signature requirement is 10% of the total number of registered voters voting for Governor or President of the United States at the immediately preceding general election in the district or political subdivision in which the officer is to be elected, not to exceed 2,000
