Eligibility Requirements

County assessors and clerks who serve ex officio as assessors must have received a County Assessor Certificate (see Nebraska Revised Statute 77-422)County officials must be residents of the county when they accept the office but they do not need to be a resident when declaring their candidacy

Filing Requirements

Candidates must submit a candidate filing form, a filing fee of 1% the previous office holder's annual salary and a Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission C-1 form.
