Eligibility Requirements

To be elected a municipal judge, the candidate must be a qualified elector of the municipality within which he or she is running. A qualified elector is a United States citizen eighteen years of age or older who has resided in the municipality for at least thirty days prior to the election and who is registered to vote in the municipality. A municipal judge does not need to be an attorney.

Filing Requirements

Filing fee $50, may be waived if Pauper's Statement is submitted to County Clerk; no nominating petition required
