Eligibility Requirements

Filing Requirements

Filing fee is $200; Filing fee for independent candidates only is 1% of total number of voters for the position in the previous election, or 100 eligible voters.

Paperwork Instructions

Submit paperwork to the Secretary of State's office if the district is comprised of more than one county; submit paperwork to the county clerk if the office is wholly contained in a single county.
