The County Engineer is responsible for county-owned public right of ways and bridges. These responsibilities include design, construction , inspection, maintenance and study which result in safety improvements or regulations in compliance with State law

Eligibility Requirements
Must be a qualified elector of the county and must be a registered professional engineer and registered surveyor, licensed to practice in Ohio
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: $80. Petition signature requirement: For major party candidates: 50 signatures. For minor party candidates: 25 signatures. For independent candidates: signature requirements are based on the number of votes cast in the county in the last general election for governor. If the number of votes cast was fewer than 5,000, 25 signatures, or a number equal to 5 percent of the vote (whichever is less). If the number of votes cast was 5,000 or more, signatures equal to 1 percent of the vote..
