Must be a qualified elector of the county and must be licensed to practice as a physician in Ohio for at least two years immediately preceding election or appointment as coroner

- Filing fee: $80. Petition signature requirement: For major party candidates: 50 signatures. For minor party candidates: 25 signatures. For independent candidates: signature requirements are based on the number of votes cast in the county in the last general election for governor. If the number of votes cast was fewer than 5,000, 25 signatures, or a number equal to 5 percent of the vote (whichever is less). If the number of votes cast was 5,000 or more, signatures equal to 1 percent of the vote..
