City Clerk-Ward Officer in Alliance, Stark County, Ohio

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the State; at least 18 years of age; a resident of the city for at least 1 year prior to election; a registered voter in the city.

Filing fee: $45. Petition signature requirement: For major party candidates: 50 signatures. For minor party candidates: 25 signatures. For independent candidates: signature requirements are based on the number of votes cast in the county in the last general election for governor. If the number of votes cast was fewer than 5,000, 25 signatures, or a number equal to 5 percent of the vote (whichever is less). If the number of votes cast was 5,000 or more, signatures equal to 1 percent of the vote.
