Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be an elector of the state of Oklahoma in accordance with the statutory requirements now existing or as may be hereinafter enacted, have attained the age of twenty-five (25) years at the time of becoming a candidate, be a resident and registered voter of the city of Purcell for a period of one (1) year prior to his election. If during his term of office, a council member shall cease to be a resident or registered voter of the city of Purcell or shall be convicted of a felony or any type of crime involving moral turpitude, his office shall immediately become vacant.
