The City Clerk/Ward Officer serves as the official keeper of the municipal records. This joint position is also responsible for presenting the agenda and minutes for legislative and committee meetings.
Candidates shall be residents of the town, unless they are a trustee in which they must also be residents of that ward. Every officer that must be a resident of a ward, must be a resident at the time of election and moving or redistricting will not disqualify him. Unless an officer''s services are sooner terminated by resignation, disqualification for a reason other than ward redistricting, removal, death, abolition of the office, or other legal manner. An officer shall be qualified to be elected and serve his or her entire term.
