Meet eligibility requirements
Must be a qualified elector and have resided within the city limits during the 12 months immediately preceding the election; may only be a candidate for one position in a single election; may not be a city employee unless the position is substantially voluntary in nature

- File form SEL 101 and file by petition with at least 25 signatures of legal voters with form SEL 121 (must be approved before circulating) [note: all signatures must be numbered and verified by the city elections official and filed with SEL 338]
