Eligibility Requirements
Must be a qualified elector and have resided within the city limits during the 12 months immediately preceding the election; may only be a candidate for one position in a single election; may not be a city employee unless the position is substantially voluntary in nature
Filing Requirements
File form SEL 101 and file by petition with at least 25 signatures of legal voters with form SEL 121 (must be approved before circulating) [note: all signatures must be numbered and verified by the city elections official and filed with SEL 338]
